Oceanic Underwriters is an MGA offering a wide range of commercial marine insurance products exclusively through a network of insurance brokers in Canada. Oceanic was originally founded in 1976 as the MGA for the Guardian Insurance Company - as their west coast correspondent for marine insurance.

Our underwriting capacity is granted to Oceanic via a number of binding authority agreements with quality carriers such as, certain Underwriters at Lloyds, and Ascentus Insurance (a member of Royal SunAlliance).

Oceanic maintains its independence as a privately owned firm – not owned by any insurance carrier or retail insurance broker. That means we are completely focused on servicing our insurance broker customers across the country.
